Pink shirts used to be very popular for men, especially in the 1940’s and 50’s.
Dress shirts, sheer nylon seersucker, short-sleeved shirt-jackets and bowling shirts all came in pink.
My ex-husband collected vintage pink shirts – mostly those boxy long-sleeved wool flannel ones with pearl buttons and black or grey handstitching, or 2-tone short-sleeved paneled shirt-jacketsSome people call the latter “daddy-o” or “rock-a-billy” shirts.
And in the 70’s Izod made very popular pink polo shirts for men.
Welby42: Wow, you are as old as I am! In Dallas, pink shirts were the fad, but never black pants – charcoal gray. Fortunately I never went for fads and still wear the styles (if not the colors) of those times. Yes, they are still available.

A pink shirt does look good on some men. But I’m told pink is a poor match for someone with my coloration.
The Nihilist about 12 years ago
I agree with Earl, go without before wearing pink.
BTW – Salmon is food, not a color — tasty too

Almost anything looks good, if you are thin enough. If you have something of a belly, not so much.

Put yer shirt back on or you will wear pink and be in pain to boot

Historically, pink and red were men’s colors and blue was a woman’s colors. It was sometime in the last century that it was changed.

Marshall Matt Dillon always wore a pink shirt. He was physically bigger than John Wayne. Maybe he had to be.

Real men are tough enough to wear pink… sorry Earl…

It takes a brave man to wear pink and an even braver one to keep it on.

Clark Gable, that most masculine of men, wore a pink shirt in GWTW, set in the 1860’s, for heaven’s sake!
