You realize that Opal & Earl are far too old to think about getting a divorce.

You should have thought of that before Opal embraced technology.

Considering the stories about Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, I really am happy I dumped all of them a month before Christmas 2015. Life is much simpler. People in person seem more pleasant, unlike how some might appear in their social media.personas. Tension is gone because the ranters, the ‘message’ folk, and the prejudiced can’t color my days. Thus what had become a gradually decreasing faith in the quality of human empathy has instead reversed itself. The ‘silence’ brightened our last Christmas, and this one looks even better for the ‘silence.’ For that among other things, I am deeply thankful.

Tomorrow’s strip ought to be a pip.

At first glance I thought Earl must be a Browns fan.

I rarely post on FaceBook and never use Twitter. Whatsapp, or Instagram.

I have noticed that because I infrequently post, I tend to garner more Likes and Comments than others who post non-stop.

And it isn’t just myself. I have been watching and counting the attention paid to judicious posters and those who feel compelled to Share everything.

A little ( or a lot of restraint ) goes a long way.

life is better without social media and listening to MSM. people are mostly more charming, less threatening, and don’t seem so …….. is stupid the word i am looking for?sorry for your shame earl – it seems like too many have to bear that pain without deserving it. or should i have said ‘bare’

The “trick” to Facebook and the rest is to limit your friends list to people you actually know. All my “Facebook friends” are either members of my family or people who were already my friends outside of Facebook.

I’m obviously the only sensible “younger generation” person who has no social media but like I said yesterday, I might have to use it for work.
