Unlike good old mechanical gizmos that could be convinced to work by a whack and a few muttered ‘Anglo-Saxon incantations’ from time to time, just a harsh thought or two can cause ‘resistor arrest.’
On the other hand, I also feel a bit like Earl when confronted with ’I’ve gotta take this’ excuses for having the @%#$$#XX things at our Thanksgiving dinner table. It isn’t the device I want to whack.
Never had an iPad, got a Windows tablet and I love it. Does all I need, dual window panes, great for study and reference. I do have an iPod, I won that at work. Earl, next time try to reset it using the switch.
I had the same trouble with my iPad freezing up at times. I called Apple and did a hard reset pressing the power button and the home button for a restart. The tech I spoke to from Apple said I should turn off the iPad when I’m not using it, when I go to bed. My iPad has been working well since. No need to smash it on the table like Earl. He’ll learn after he has to replace it and the cost.
