Well, you’ve got to get rid of the damn stuff somehow…

She bought trick-or-treat candy a few days ago, so she knows the concept. She is putting the kids on a diet, because She and Earl ate all the candy. She and Earl need to eat that zucchini.

Earl finally acts serious here.

Better to have closed up the house and a “no candy” sign on the door!

When I was growing up, just turning off the front light was the sign that the treats had run out.

Wouldn’t pelting the house with zucchini save a step?

Zucchinis are the same species as pumpkins.

They hide their elation well.

Will their parents come around and clear up the mess?

What they need to do next year is hand out boiled eggs. The kids get the satisfaction of pelting the house, with minimal cleanup the following morning. Or just go out for the night, that’s another option. The money you save on candy buys a decent dinner.

Zucchini season was done in my neck of the woods about 2 months ago ……. but still have blue leaf Kale. Tis way easier to give out candy…Kit-Kats !

Earl is usually the dumb one, but sometimes Opal picks up the slack.

We haven’t had a trick or treater in about 20 years. That’s what living out in BFE and having an 800’ driveway does for you. ;-}

Big Nate’s dad is handing out cherry tomatoes. That will end well.

Lucky kids! No one gives vegetables around here… {sigh}

You know you live in a small town when the only place you lock your car is church, and that’s just so nobody gives you zucchini.

Is handing out zucchini better or worse than handing out fermented grain beverages & fried chicken embryos?

Opal didn’t have much choice, Earl had eaten all the candy.

Getting eggs off of houses is hard some one pelted my car and 2 others with eggs.. and it wasn’t halloween. ended up in car wash

The zucchini won’t splat.

At least give them cucumbers so they can make pickles!
