Grandpa’s hearing aid for his right ear probably started working again, too.

My dad wore hearing aids. When my mom would start in on him, he’d dramatically yank them out.

Please do not model throwing people food to ducks or other wildlife! They can get their own food. Our kind of food does them only harm.

Reminds me of the story from (8th grade??) English class about grampa, who lived with the protagonist’s family. If you were to find him and yell in his ear about something that needed to be done, he could not hear you. But if he was in his room on the third floor and you went into the furnace room in the basement and whispered “whiskey”, he’d be there in less than a minute.l

My father knew why he was deaf in one ear. He lost an eardrum in WWII. He was in an AA unit.
