Kumquats actually are quite intelligent.

They also obey when you call them…you know, “kum-quat”!

They don’t come when called just say Kum quat and they’ll ignore you

Lord! Poor Nelson believes everything…

In the last comic book series I wrote, the last issue (which never saw print) had one character spin a tale of ‘vast herds’ of cantaloupes sweeping across the veldt. Obviously he had absolutely no clue as to what a cantaloupe was, but was vastly unwilling to admit it. Terrie Smith, the artist, sketched in something like a gangling, round-chested giraffe.

Very appeeling (sic) pets… although you don’t have to peel them.

I find it interesting how Nelson never uses google to look these things up.
