Do you have something that you normally wear or have with you where you would kind of feel like you’re walking around naked if you don’t have it on or with you?
For example: “I would feel naked without my watch.” … “… or my keys.”
Actually, our dog wants her collar – honestly. When we take it off for a bath she will bring it to us afterward. She seems genuinely happy to have it back on. Never had another dog do anything like that before, but it’s seriously cute.
When my cousins [8 girls] and I turned 7 our Gran gave each of us a Celtic Cross. Hot humid summers, summers with no air conditioning, in the shore bungalow led to Gran’s edict that as long as you were wearing your cross, you were fully dressed. But that was the early 50s I suppose these days it would be considered grooming.

They could order a new collar and have it mailed to them, but there is a risk that Roscoe might attack the mailman.

Doesn’t appear that the bath did any good. Roscoe is still scratching.

I hope he is chipped! Usually the first thing animal control will do is scan for a chip.

A missing dog collar is probably tolerable, but where is his dog license tag?

Roscoe could show them where his collar is, but he’s too busy enjoying a collarless skin scratch to be bothered!

The way Earl’s foot is positioned, I thought Roscoe was wearing a trucker’s hat.

My dog actually acts like she is embarrassed to be naked without her collar.

Looks like Roscoe is getting into the whole “naturalist” thing…

Wonder if they’ll ever find the collar…if Roscoe didn’t bury it deep enough they could run it over with the mower…..

Roscoe is naked, Opal. With or without the collar. Unless you put a sweater on him.

My daughter always takes collar off dogs when bath time, give them a treat, then later collar goes back on.
