My sister always wanted kids and grandkids. She has 3 kids and 6 grandkids (all 6 belong to her oldest daughter). I, on the other hand, have 1 kid who never wants to have kids (as she is almost 36 and no boyfriend, good chance she won’t) and had no interest in grandkids (grand CATS, yes). My mom loved having her grandkids over when she had a house of her own, but, now that she is living with my sister and is a lot older, finds the 4 youngest great-grandkids to be a bit much (5 y/o boy, twin 3.5 y/o girls, 1 y/o boy). The two oldest ggk are 14 and 12. They are much more fun for her to be around. LOL

Or cat-sitting in my mom’s case. Whenever sis is out of town, Onyx goes to grandma’s to help her with her knitting.

That’s why I didn’t have children. Okay, not really, but it’s a definite perk.
