I retired from my âday jobâ and guess whatâI still have to do my non-paid work every day at home. Cooking, cleaning, washing, grocery shopping, . . . I wonder when Iâll get to just sit around and do only what pleases me. Oh, and the honey do list? It mainly consists of things that he-who-is-retired never got around to doing before, because he didnât have the time.
My house sets on a corner lot. I have 2 front yards that must be maintained. Watering system always needs repairing, lawns mowed, leaf raking, flowers replanting, roses trimmed, two fronts of the house spruced up, and on and on it goes.

I hate this âhoney doâ trope, ugh. And here, it looks like a novel. Does the wife want him to do chores for everyone in town?
