One of our girls would just about empty the salt shaker every time she sat down at the table. We put salt in the shaker just to slow her down.

And then she discovered a hole in the floor of the car, caused by some spilled deicing salt – scared the daylights out of her! She pretty much stopped throwing salt all over her plate after that.

Not a problem around here. When it’s humid outside, it is also cold. Heat the air to room temperature and it dries out. It’s 11C and 83% RH outside, 22C and 48% RH inside.

Then it’s NOT Mortons Salt – remember their tagline: When it rains, it pours. ;-)

Pluggers also learn which spices & herbs you can use to add flavor so you never even miss the salt and your food tastes a whole lot better too.

Every restaurant I’ve worked in adds dry, uncooked rice to the salt shakers on the table. This plugger’s place does not? I am surprised as it looks like a restaurant.

Every plugger knows when it’s time to tell the waitress the salt needs replacing

Take the lid off and stir it with a knife, just don’t forget to put the lid back on properly.

I get really annoyed when the “gel” type pills stick together in the bottle. (And it’s not usually all that humid here.) I avoid buying that type when possible, but sometimes that’s all that’s available. This cartoon gave me an idea – I think I will try some rice in the pill bottle and see if that helps!
