My smoke alarm makes an excellent kitchen timer…..

You’re a plugger if you still use that kind of a toaster. Haven’t seen one of those in years. Try a toaster oven.

Your cooking skills are REAL bad if you burn toast or don’t understand ’mechanical things ! ! ! !

With a little practice (so you don’t amputate something or disembowel yourself) you too may have your own cooking show. Mine would be titled, “The Chop and Boil Come-What-May”.

Did you every clean out the crumb tray in that toaster ?

If it’s smoking, it’s cooking. If it’s black, it’s done.

Oh come on, I can make toast. It might take two or three tries, but I can make toast.

Saw an ad about a toaster that makes Panni sandwiches that a lady went ga-ga over. Computer operated was it. Looked it up and at $349.99 plus $79.99 for the Panni adapter. This Plugger will stay with his old West Bend toaster with the fabric cord and manual pop-up.

But the lever is “UP” so it’s not toasting!

The smoke alarm is going off = The toast is done.

Gonna have to call a “Nope” on this one. At least, not THAT kind of reminder. For a BACHELOR Plugger, lots of empties (TV dinners, cans, pizza boxes, etc) in the trash, yes.

I greatly prefer cooking dinner to taking in or eating out – but unlike me where mom cooked most nights – rare was the dinner out or the take-in – husband grew up in a family which ate out at least once a week and he wants to do so – and he has us eat out once a week and take in once a week – waste of money.

Even holiday meals – we ate at home with relatives joining us or ate at relatives (Jewish holidays are almost all multi-night holidays so mom would make dinner one night, aunt the next.) His family went out for Christmas, Easter, even Thanksgiving. I guess we want what we grew up.
