I’M still using the book of 20 Forever stamps I bought 5 years ago! Turns out they were aptly named! The increase in postage means they have a better return than my 401K!
I bought 20 Charlie Brown Christmas stamps about 10 years ago, and just finished using all of them. Pretty much the only reason I use stamps at all is, for the same reason I still write checks – my dentist bills me twice a year and doesn’t take credit cards.
The Christmas stamps I now buy are simply a winter scene, for example the otters playing in snow series, winter scenes of a barn, bluejay, horses pulling a wagon, etc. Nothing particularly of the holiday, so very usable throughout winter…if anyone cares. :-)
My departed mom was a collector. I’ve got hundreds of sheets of stamps from the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s that our local coin & stamp shop said are worth face value. So now I cobble together the correct postage from them whenever I need to mail something. My kids kids will have stamps if they ever need them.

Saves a trip to the post office or to any store that has stamps, right?

If the stamp says “FOREVER”, it’s never out of season.

A vintage Plugger still laments the disappearance of penny postcards.

I’m still using stamps I bought over eight years ago. At my rate, I’m good for life.

Bought a bunch of rolls just before the last rate hike. Should last me another year or so.

Used to be it took 2 rolls of stamps for Christmas, now as the card list withers from age and disease, its 2 Christmases to a roll.

Buy from Costco. Save the leftover Christmas stamps for next year.
