It’s a lock you’ve been together a long while when your stomach growls back.
If he doesn’t smell supper cooking, a good plugger husband will then ask, “Where would you like to go for dinner?”
I’ve said “Nothing, Dear” quite often – realizing quickly that it’s probably just as well she didn’t hear me, that is wasn’t important enough to repeat, and/or knowing that saying it again would only get me into (more) trouble.
