30-odd years ago I found some tee shirts that I loved — a ‘heavy’ cotton material and straight lines — ‘shaped’ tees weren’t for my shape. They were tie-dyes, not particularly stylish, but they were comfortable and suited my purpose. When they went on sale, I bought one of every ‘color’. Those shirts have served me well. Other tees have come and gone, but these are still here being worn every day for yard work, hiking, pottery, exercise class, puttering, etc. Some have a lot of little holes [cats] but that doesn’t matter. I noticed that tie-dye was making a comeback a few years ago and bought some new ones — and returned them because the material was too flimsy.
For me it’s the cuff of my sleeves that wear and get raggedy. The shirts ares comfomy so I keep wearing them until they disappear in the laundry one day.

I have an old jacket, well worn, and all the buttons are original. It’s still keeps me warm.

The comfort of some old clothing makes it hard to throw it away . For me comfort beats style ;-)

Holes in a comfy shirt are okay — as long as they don’t catch on a lever-latch door handle, to pull you off balance!

Funny how only the front of the jeans get shredded intentionally.

Not really.

I will never understand brand new jeans from the factory with intentional holes. It’s just plain stupid. One day, we will look back and just giggle.
Of course, this criticism comes from an old man.

I don’t get shredded jeans. If I can afford to buy jeans without holes, why can’t rich people?
