In a remote section of a snowmobile/ski trail, someone has placed a mailbox containing a notebook for users to add their bon mots. One day on my skate skis, I was suddenly beset with heavy, wet snow, and my comment read, “Sudden, heavy, wet snow. Come spring, look for my bones along the trail (just kidding).”
Okay, that there is “cool”. I have truly never thought of a skeleton in a snowman before. Now I just have to build a snowman next year over a skeleton. I mean, really, what else is there for Halloween skeletons to do for the rest of the year.
Maybe it was some poor soul that got caught in a winter blizzard and some one thought it was a snowman and added the carrot & top hat ……………………. or lake was frozen ……. :0
When I was a kid in Northern Indiana (late 50s, early 60s) I remember snow staying on the ground all winter, and finding things I’d lost months before when it all thawed in the spring. Now days, any snow there rarely lasts more than a few days or couple weeks at most. So no big reveals in the spring. Climate change, I guess.

3 months ago, did someone dispose of a body by disguising it as a snowman?

Living on Commonwealth Ave in Boston, The Spring melt was when all the frozen poop on the median melted and became fragrant.

The Mall piles up the snow from the parking lot into a huge pile. When it melts, carcasses of shopping carts are left behind.
