Scott claims to be a “never Trumper” – yet it feels like we have had more Hunny Bunny cartoons that skunk cartoons in the last three years.
It really does appear that Scott is campaigning for Bernie. But why?
Methinks he thinks that by propping up Bernie, he can assure more Republican representatives and senators – and, while he’s at it, campaign for Trump without even bringing him up.
C’mon Scott, you can say it out loud: REPUBLICANS!
You know Republicans said they would Repeal and Replace.
In reality, Republicans, now the Party of Trump, NEVER had any intention of replacing. They had no plan, and neither intention nor desire to improve health care for American.
The only thing they ever had a desire for was the continual campaign contributions/bribes that came their way.
The solution for health care is this. FREEDOM. Freedom to chose your own doctor, make your own choices and control your own health care dollars. Feeedom is the only thing that works.
An insurance card with a government seal is worthless if it covers little, costs a lot and comes with many strings attached (spoiler, they always do).
Only a financially empowered consumer can rescue medical care. The many beneifts they provide would also redound to the poor through lower costs, better quality and broader access. Charity and strong government safety nets can help those poor who need temporary support.
End insurance cartels, massively shrink government involvenment in the health sector, support tax free health savings accounts and high deductible health plans and end cookbook medicine. We have tried a centrally planned medical economy since FDR. LET’S TRY FREEDOM IN HEALTHCARE.

President Trump’s bombastic style has served him well through many stages of his political career, but as the coronavirus spreads rapidly throughout the United States, it is exposing how deeply unsuited he is to deal with a genuine crisis that he can’t bluff his way through.
✄
And the outcome will be clear no matter how many things he makes up, no matter how confident he pretends to be, and no matter how many insults he heaves.
If anybody was hoping that Trump had the ability to rise to the moment, his comments upon touring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention should disabuse them of that notion.
✄
But the most stunning part of Trump’s press conference came when he said that, despite the recommendation of health officials, he was reluctant to let Americans off of a cruise ship with 21 infected, because it would increase the reported numbers of cases. He said he would defer to the vice president, and there is now news that the passengers will be let off.
Yet it was quite revealing into Trump’s thought process that he said: “I would rather — because I like the numbers being where they are. I don’t need to have the numbers double because of one ship. That wasn’t our fault, and it wasn’t the fault of the people on the ship, either.”
Trump appears to be more concerned with numbers that might make him look bad in the short-term than he is with actually taking the most prudent measures to save lives over time.
The current crisis is revealing what many critics feared in a potential Trump presidency. He simply has not shown an ability to break out of his typical antics and treat the moment with the seriousness with which it deserves.
Repeal and Replace was a major plank of the 2016 campaign. There were two votes to Repeal and Replace in the US Senate. They both failed. But what is significant is that they failed during the first two years of the current presidency when both Houses of Congress were solidly controlled by the GOP.
They’re Republicans. They were probably lying about repealing and replacing (well, not the repeal part, just the replace part). And if they were actually going to repeal and replace, they have been hampered by the collective attention spans of a newt. Lack of knowledge and failure to listen to anyone who knows anything may also be factors.

The Republicans have a two tiered approach to health care. 1…If you can afford it, you live.2…If you can’t, you die.
