I guess you could say Stantis is now providing extreme both siderism.

One party has been completely taken over by a convicted felon, who has 50 or so charges pending, along with a lifetime of criminal behavior, fraud, bankruptcies, adultery, racism, draft dodging, idolatry of dictators, and Treason.

So, in Stantis mind, the other party must have become something equally heinous.

    AS IF.

Yeah, we don’t like neocons, because we actually care about the republic.

Both liberals and conservatives often accuse each other to hate or at least not care about America. That’s basically nonsense, as both sides just have different opinions as to what’s best for the country.

Is this “hate“ thing just meant as an insult or do you really believe that?

Yes, both parties have changed that much and more, so as to be unrecognizable.

Ideas evolve over time and place. This is perfectly natural. Many comment on the “loss” of their “party”, and that’s perfectly natural too.

If you get your news from the guy who paid a billion dollar fine for lying to you, you believe the dems have changed as much as the rs.

    They always change.

The Republican Party began in the 1854 as the Liberal party in the U.S. Lincoln, a Liberal, was their first elected president. Republican Teddy Roosevelt was a Liberal. Democrat Woodrow Wilson was a Southerner, conservative racist. Coolidge and Hoover were Republican conservatives. conservatives called Eisenhower a “socialist”, some even called him a “communist”. The Republican Party had a Liberal wing well into the 1960s, and last led by Thomas Dewey and Nelson Rockefeller. It was Nixon’s ‘Southern Strategy’ in 1968 that began the full conversion of conservatives in the South to the GOP. Now the conservatives have driven all the moderates out of the GOP, and gone MAGA.

Don’t judge by party. Judge by political philosophy.

I’m 74. Grew up in the southeast US where if you were a “white” protestant you were by definition a Democrat. For better or for worse. I’ve never had much use for any of the Parties, and yes they have changed to the point that the democrats and republicans have in many ways swapped agendas, up until a few years ago. The “GOP” of today has almost nothing to do with any earlier iterations of the party. It has become a strange coalition of christian-nationalists, neo-nazis, white-supremacists, and a lot of people who are worried about being replaced – influenced heavily by the fox propaganda network. djt didn’t create this, but as a somewhat competent con-artist (one of his few competencies) he has exploited it to control what used to be the Republican party.

It’s ok, Stanti, you can’t handle change. The good news is that you will be dead and won’t have to deal with it.
