With some of the families I know, that’s not a big selling point.

It’s your turn to do the dishes, too.

THIS is what businesses mean these days when they say you’re “FAMILY” to them;/

But of course we’ll give you Monday and Tuesday off as compensation…NOT

Hey, if they pay time and a half, I’ll go in.

I worked my share of weekends when I was younger. I also worked holidays because “since I didn’t have young children any more, I didn’t need the time off”.

Cool! Can we build a pillow fort?!

That last little sentence in the job description that reads: “And other duties and work hours as required, based on the needs of the organization.”

Is the idea behind that joke actually true in the US? I never encountered anyone with the idea to have people work on the weekend on short notice. Not even, when the IT broke the company’s server – only to detect that the backup-tapemachine was broken for a year.

I like the cartoons on the cubicle. I used to do that, when I had a cubicle.

Over time, this will take its toll.

Yeah the Family. It’d be a shame if something were to happen to your free time.
