Even if they did let you play. You couldn’t afford the green fees.

Many years ago, a friend tried to get me to golf with him. He begged me to at least come to the driving range with him, which I finally did. I did all right, too. But when we were done, I handed him my club and said, “Thanks. Please don’t ever ask me again.” And for the last 25 years, I’ve not set foot on a golf course. Which is a win for me.

I am in fairly decent shape, but have hip trouble occasionally. The worst part of the golf experience for me would be reaching down to place/pick up the ball. I would need one of those long-handled-grabber things.

IMHO, watching golf on TV is even more boring than listening to Eric Clapton sing LAYLA (layla layla layla layla layla . . .)

You pay money to buy a little ball. You put that little ball down on a very big ball and hit it with a stick. Then go look for it. If you find it, you don’t pick it up. You hit it again. And go look for it again. Eventually, you will not find it. Then you have to go buy another ball. I suppose as lunacy goes, one form is about as good as another.

I drive past a former course everyday – don’t play golf so I just admire the scenery.

Well, I least you won’t be crowding up the course for the players that like golf.

I can barely play miniture golf and always with a high score. Usually three or four strokes per hole.

last time I played, the best 2 balls I hit all day was when I stepped on a rake on third hole.
