It’s an interesting concept. Go into your office on holidays to offset working from home the rest of the year. Sort of a yin/yang thang. But if it ever caught on, then you’d have this weird possibility that going into work could be a Covid super-spreader event.
I ended the last five years of my career telecommuting. They sent us Boomers home, but told us to visit the office once a month so that we could bond with our pierced and tattooed Gen-Z teammates. I did that for a couple years until I found out I was the only one coming back in to the office. No bonding happened anyways.

You’re not supposed to have to work on Labor Day – so it made even more sense since he never really did any work at the office anyway.
