Used to be this DIY show where people had started projects and a year or two later still not anywhere near done. The team would come in and finish it in a couple of days. I like DIY but call professionals for large projects.
I am not that bad but I do have the ability to do the job in a longer time than the box or instruction manual states. I always multiply the “estimated time” by 8.
Time estimated does not include trying to find the needed tool or going to the store for that tool. The trip can also include buying the hardware that is missing (or that I may have misplaced or dropped after opening the box).

It’s more of a doo-doo list.

The shorter the to do list the better.

It’s possible he messes up on purpose so that his “to do” list is shorter.
Not that I would ever do that.

Are those lists like Can-do & Can’t-do lists or Will-do & Won’t-do lists?
Is the Not-to-do list a Don’t-try-to-do-or-you’ll-just-make-it-worse list?

He’ll never get a “Honey Do” list! His list will consist of “plumber, carpenter, etc.”!

Number 1 (on both lists) – Call Johnson’s Handy Services. Cheaper in the long run than fifteen trips to the hardware store… for each project.

It’s probably a relief to her that the to-do list is so short. It’ll save a lot of money in the long run.

I can tell a hammer from a screwdriver at least two times out of three.
