Poor little guy….. he’s trying!

Pick up the turtle, go home together.

You could meet him half— well, maybe 99.5% of the way.

Now Red, you know he’d be there for you eventually!

His parents will be delighted.

The turtle is much too slow!!

I wonder if Red and the turtle left home together for Red to catch the school bus.

on the other hand, why a turtle and not a dog?

a doggie’s life expectancy is perhaps 15 years tops…..a small box turtle will double that easily.

OK. Two days without the dog. Too long…

Why a Dog and not anything else?

Because a dog runs to you and loves you and you can hug it!

Had a duck when I was a teen. Murphy would come to me when I came home everyday.

Ask Rainbow Dash about having a turtle as a pet. Just don’t watch season 5 episode 5.

The little fellow should’ve just stayed there.

I didn’t have a dog as a kid, but my grandma did and since she lived downstairs and us upstairs, I got to walk Sandy, (her dog) plus play with him and all too. I had turtles (little ones) and a HUGE one called Red….who turned out not to be “he” but a she when a egg was laid (pink mind you) and there was a baby turtle. Red took off a couple years later and so did my buddy behind me, Lucy (her turtle….Eleanor (yeah I know don’t ask) LOL I cried for weeks…..I also had goldfish too but they never lived long so finally just stopped getting them. So lucky to met my hubby, who came with 7 cats and a dog….

Get a tortoise. Turtles need lots of water. They dry out.

Our turtle didn’t last long. It got a soft shell and died. Not sure what caused it.
