He’ll have to get a mustard colored shirt to be Kirk. Red shirts could be dangerous. Usually unknown wearers of red shirts didn’t make through an entire episode. You recall: “He’s dead Jim.”
When I was little I wanted my grandad to write to Star Trek and ask them to send me a tribble! Instead, he went and bought a fuzzy little round ball that looked just like one, lol!
In the animated series that followed (Season 4 of the original) Cyrano Jones has played a version of the same game. These new tribbles do not reproduce, and they are all pink! The Klingons have done their own gene engineering and created the “Glommer” that eats tribbles.
That was only true for those who were part of the landing party security patrol who always wore red shirts and often met an untimely end. Lt. Uhura also wore red and she survived quite nicely.

Go Tribble. They’re friendly unless faced with a Martin, a Klingon.
