The best thing about childhood – doing nothing, with a buddy.

Beautiful! It’s lovely to have (or make) the time to do nothing with a friend.

At one point, my sister was coming for a brief visit on her way through to somewhere else. We had an afternoon to spend and I asked to go to the beach. We went and just watched the water for a good while. When we were done, she said she hadn’t been sure there would be “enough to do” at the beach. Once we got there she found it the most relaxing time of her whole trip. We all need to make a little time to do some nothing now and then.

This is why “a boy and his dog” stories will never go out of style.
