Well, Tacao—karma may intervene. They may be attacked by swarms of locusts or pounced on by a hungry lion. Then, they’ll be sorry they didn’t marry in a climate you could tolerate, and let you be in the wedding party!

Cute pup! Nice to see new characters. Rover could be a wonderful mentor for the puppy.

I guess our darlings meet up with a lot of interesting characters on their walks! At least Rover is friendly and doesn’t bark at them!

I’m guessing this is a shoutout to some friends of Brian’s?

I like living in SoCal, but I miss seeing some of my favorite dog breeds from the north that are too furry for this climate- like Norwegian Elkhounds.

According to Google Translate, ‘tacaro’ is Corsican for ‘shut up’.

Have we ever seen a female dog in this comic? Not that it would make much difference for Rover; he’s implied to be neutered.

My dogs have never worn collars in the house. I learned that lesson about 35 years ago. My fox terrier, Mykei, nearly choked to death when she somehow got the metal ring, to which her tags were attached, caught on a hook. My son saved her in time to avoid serious injury, but ever since that scare, the collars come off at the door until the next time outside.
