In OZ the 1 cent and 2 cent pieces only lasted from 1966 to 1990 for the former and 1966 to 1989 for the latter.

How about 100,000 miles? There is a list of people with running streaks going back decades without missing a day. http://runeveryday.com/lists/USRSA-Active-List.html

I’m going to miss Canada’s 1-cent coin. I like the stem with the 2 maple leaves on it.

I reckon they are calling a “dwarf” planet.

Every time they talk about it here, a great hue and cry goes up from some familar quarters, ditto the paper dollar. I’m still trying to figure out how these things are somehow “socialism”.

Not to be confused with the protagonist of “Charlie Wilson’s War.”

Regardless of how it is classified, Pluto is what Pluto is.

A journey of 10,000 miles begins with the first ten steps!

If you weighed 150 pounds on earth, I don’t think your actual weight would change elsewhere. Just the difference in gravity, would make it feel like only 10.5 pounds? In zero gravity on the Space Station, wouldn’t a 150 pound person, still actually be a 150 pound person?

Who said anything about socialism? We’ve needed to get rid of the penny for at least ten years…

I enjoy reading this strip, but this is not the Ripley’s I am familiar with, and at times the stories are banal trivia at best.!0,000 miles? Really? How pedestrian ; many, many have done this and for longer and with more miles. The penny- not only is it old news but it is boring to boot.Just sayin’.
