It got its name because the hiker tripped over it and said, “Fukang Meteorite!”
The Fukang meteorite is estimated to be 4.5 billion years old. That’s one old stone. Beats Keith Richards by a billion years.
[Beavis voice] ….heh…heh. He said “Fukang”…heh…heh…
Not a lot of volcanoes in France… I actually live 342 kms from Clermont-Ferrand…
Stunning videos of giant honeybees shimmering on YouTube. Also worth a look on YouTube are a variety of photos of the meteorites embedded with gem quality olivine crystals.
No word on who the hiker is, or where the meteorite was found? The Boss Man doesn’t usually leave out details like that.
It’s hard to imagine how something like that formed.
“super-hard”? “Delicate”? uhhhh…. If you make something out of a “super-hard” material, why would it be “delicate”? Just curious…
I feel as though “Fukang Meteorite” must be part of one of the greatest “straight lines” ever…
The meteorite is so famed I’ve never heard of it before.
I was on some Falkland Island when I saw the Fukang Meteorite Badabing
Who knew giant honeybees could be kind of cute?
Did Krazy George teach the bees to do the wave or did he learn it from them?
That meteorite is fukang amazing!
I believe the RBION gang has discovered a new “workaround.”
