One of the things I love about this strip is the relationships between its characters. Lately, however, I’ve been feeling that the authors/artists have been sort of "phoning it in. " Glad to see they still “got it.” or rather, that they still care(??).
No. Just No. If he works at a job that the workers bring their lunches in lunchboxes, she really did a number on him. It would make him the butt of jokes for months, if not years. He would never live it down. They would instantly give him an embarrassing nickname he could not outlive. As drawn, the responses are far closer to mid level management than workers….at least that is my take on it.
In the Navy we’d create dit-dot bombs using a cigar box, rubber band, an index card, and the little bits of paper punched out spiral-bound paper. The one I created I left on the bunk to a jerk officer who was in the shower. When he opened the box the index card, wound up in the rubber band which was stapled to each end of the box, spun like a fan and covered his damp body with the tiny dit-dots.

OMG if I did that to my husband at work on the docks he’d freeze me out for months.

Why have an ordinary lunch when you can have a party going on?

Nice to have a wife who goes the extra mile to craft a fine lunch for her husband.
