It was his way of coming out of his shell
Nothing in the actual nursery rhyme says he’s an egg (and it was years ago when I finally heard someone point it out). So I am now wondering how he came to be depicted as an egg.
And he was so eggcited about it. Sniff! Little did he knows that it would lands him in such eggstremely eggscruciating pain.
This would imply that he wasn’t just sitting there. Eggcellent!

I’ve never thought of this before, but what if you cremated Humpty for 3 minutes? Everybody make a toast. Bunch right after the service?
