If you look at the prices in chain stores such as Kroger/Walmart if they have a store in an affluent neighborhood and a poor neighborhood often prices will be higher in the poor neighborhood. Customers in the affluent neighborhood can always drive to a competing store, customers in a poor neighborhood do not have that option.
