A lot less Government. Saw where there is a discussion going on about whether the Government should look into addressing the issue of obesity in our country. Instead of looking to the government as a cure-all, how about instead a new movement called Taking Responsibility for Your Actions,

@macprivateLet’d hear it for the “Nanny State” – we now have a generation of adults who were never spanked as a child and grew up on video games. Of course they need some one else to take care of them.

It’s been suggested to me that I might like the Libertarian Party, but, I much prefer to be unaffiliated and indiscriminately rouse the Rabble.

Less is better but least is best. That means ONLY police, military, and courts…the three functions necessary to the protection of individual rights. When government does anything beyond these roles it inevitably violates rights, putting it in conflict with its very justification. “Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness…to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men…”. Jefferson had it right but not consistently, and without Ayn Rand’s moral argument, it couldn’t last.

(What’s that you say? This is just a cartoon? Well, duh!)

Democracy is self defeating. Once people learn that they can vote themselves benefits at other’s expense the system created will eventually collapse. I believe Stalin made a comment similar to this.

It doesn’t matter. If you get less government in more of your life, the more government in less of your life will equal more government in your life than less government in your life, so you will have more government in all of your life.I have a really bad headache now.

How about we do this, NO government in my life, less government all the way around. The way it was intended to be. Just do what the Constitution says, Provide for the common defence, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of Liberty. That is all that government is supposed to do. This Nanny State crap has got to go. Along with it’s bloated price tag.

Would anyone care to define “promote the general welfare” or “secure the blessings of liberty?” According to Mitt, it means getting “free stuff!” I guess he forgot the free stuff he got to save the Olympics!
