‘Shoes’ definition is the most apropos description I heard in a number of years ! ! !

Ain’t none of them young enough to be a ‘Cubby’.

This is insulting. There are far more misbehaved children in Congress than were ever in the Mickey Mouse Club, and that speaks volumes.

I certainly don’t have a crush on any of them. Definitely no Annette Funicello.

There is a lot of truth to that statement even though it is a huge insult to The Mickey Mouse Club.

“Why? Because we hate you!” Now it fits Congress.

If only. .. comprised of Annette, Darlne, Cubby, et al. And Justin, who could regale us with a skit of “bring it on down to Congressville”.

Actually, Congress is more like a family than a club. The Manson family on the left, and the Gambino family on the right.

At least on the Mickey Mouse Clue they were civil.

At least the Mickey Mouse club was entertaining. Congress is just sad.

Now I know why a collection of baboons is called a “congress.”

The Mickey Mouse Club was a bunch of children and young teens having fun (or at least pretending to). Congress is a bunch of adult children throwing tantrums. What an insult to the MMC.

The Mickey Mouse Club was much more mature.

To assert that the current Congress is like the beloved Mickey Mouse Club is like saying that one of the Twit-in-Chief’s rallies is like a Fred Rogers “Won’t You Be My Neighbor” get-together. If you’re REALLY looking for a proper metaphor for the current Congress/Administration, I suggest you needn’t look further than Piggy et al. in William Golding’s “Lord of the Flies.”

One of my favourite Mouseketeers was a nice Italian girl originally from the east who moved out to California. One of my favourite Congressional Reps is a nice Italian lady originally from Baltimore who now lives in and represents San Francisco. I have met them both. Great ladies.
