There’s an explanation for that…but I can’t remember what it is.

Been there, still doing that.

That never happens to me (when I go into the bathroom).

Lemme get a screwdriver for that thing… Oh, that coffee’s cold. Back to the kitchen. Darn the bread got left out. There. Ah, microwave’s done, coffee’s hot. And there’s my pill bottle. Oops, mail’s here. Ack, the phone’s ringin’ too. Hmm, now back to that comfy chair. Geez, I’m gonna need a screwdriver for that thing…

I was going to make a very clever comment here, but I forgot what it was.

A typical case of the “hereafters” e.g. now what did I come in hereafter?

Cosmo, try fixing the hole where the rain gets in and keeps your mind from wandering…

just turn on the ‘record player’ and put on an album and don’t worry why you came in.

Why worry about it, just do whatever needs doing in the den. If whatever you forgot is important, it will still be there when you remember it. ( This does not apply to the kitchen— if you are in there, check to see if something is burning).

Just another day in the life..

I can remember the theme from Captain Kangaroo, but I forget why I came into a room. That can be particularly bothersome when it’s the bathroom.

One of those real life mysteries science and nobody else will ever understand.

Some wishful thinker want to believe this is only a problem for the older folks amongst us… but I, for one, have had this problem since I was a teen and it has been fairly constant throughout out my life. I usually remember why a bit later and have to go back. And, when I was a teen, not all the Beatles albums had been produced yet.

This day’s entry of Shoe makes me feel a little less lonely in the world.
