The dropping vowels approach doesn’t work very well for me now due to lack of practice. Fifty years ago when I was in college and graduate school I took most of my notes that way. With practice it becomes fast & easy to write and read.

I hate it when abbreviations are used. It made sense when using a flip phone but smart phones have full keyboards, there is no excuse.
