Next time I wonder where on the internet I’m going, I should check out Wikipedia to see what an artichoke looks like.

At least you can butter up an artichoke.

In France, one of our favorite comics, Coluche, once quipped that artichokes are the preferred meal of poor people. It’s the only meal where you end up with more in your plate than you started with.

I give myself a raise whenever I want. But, then again, I put up with a lot.

I’m still wondering who was the first person to look at an artichoke and think, “you know, I bet I could eat that.”
