There are dog bowls that have a raised center. The food forms a ring. Dogs have to work a little to eat the food. They can’t swallow all of it in one gulp.
I think he needs more iron in his diet..

Still not as bad as Poncho in “Pooch Cafe,” who swallowed the bowl whole.
I had a dog that did that; ate half a plastic dish. It made him very sick, but he passed it eventually.
His training for competitive eating contests got a little out of hand.
