A distinctive use of new tech to address an old concern. It would be great for one of those serial dating-encounters events. I’m blanking on what they’re called, but it’s set up as a sort of round-robin traveling conversation during which everyone gets to talk with everyone else of whichever gender for about ten minutes. Then decide if you want to exchange some contact into.

QR codes are security leaks of your info. Avoid them.

For most, the actual scan will be completely unnecessary – just seeing that he has and is wearing a QR code tells more than enough.

QR codes are now being used by scammers. It’s a portmanteau called quishing (QR + phishing).

Did a Doonesbury comic strip once use a scan code?

Might slow it down depending on the connection.

QR codes are annoying, I really don’t need faster and easier ways to spend money! It’s always all about Don Draper selling soap isn’t it ??? ;-)

Back during my college days (long before personal computers and the Internet, let alone smartphones) I bought a six month trial subscription to a book club. With my first book they included a T-shirt with their trial’s advertising slogan on it – “Let’s Try Each Other For 6 Months”.

A few days later I needed a clean shirt to wear to a party, so without thinking I threw in that slogan T-shirt. Took me a while to figure out why the ladies were more hostile to me than usual…
