I’m further south than the Panhandle blizzard, but I’ve seen it snow three times in the almost forty years I’ve been here. If it had been just a little colder a few days ago, the rain might have been snow.
It snowed in Gainesville in north Florida in 1977. When I called a relative in Miami and said “you’ll never guess what is happening here!” the immediate response was “probably not, but it’s Snowing here”!

I live on the Gulf Coast of Texas. We RARELY get snow, but got about 4 inches from this storm. My 11 year old son LOVED it :-)
