Kaepernick has not played since 2016. We are now a different country and, hopefully, a little bit better country than we were in 2016. Give him a one year contract at a medium salary and see what happens. The times have changed.
I am a Texans fan going back to when they chose Tony Boselli in the expansion draft (yeah, I know…). Kaep could be a solid backup for Deshaun, so it would be a smart move. As far as it making me forget about O’Brien trading away Nuk, hell no! Besides, O’Brien has made too many incompetent decisions to make me overlook what an inept coach he is.
As much as the media refuses to admit it Kaepernick isn’t playing by his own choice. the NFL has repeated given second, third , fourth and fifth chances to anyone who has the remotest possibility of helping their team win especially at QB. There is not the slightest chance that all 32 teams would agree to stand united for 3 years on a social issue when there is a player that can help them win

Won’t work. Suppose Kap signs with the Texans and:
- Doesn’t do well. “Well, he doesn’t have a #1 receiver.”
- Does do well. “Imagine how much better he coulda been with a #1 receiver.”

Fans in Texas wouldn’t accept this. He needs to sign with a team that plays in a state where fans are more accepting of causes like this.

And panel two is exactly what any resigning will be about. A cause not whether he can help the team.
