Probably not high on MLB’s worry list. It’s not likely that there are going to be World Series games in Atlanta this year.

The best way to fight racism is to move an event like the All-Star Game out of a city with a 51% black population to a city with a 9% black population because only black folks have to produce ID to vote in Georgia while white folks are exempt. I mean, that IS the new law, right?

I never quite understood the whole water & sandwich deal. I think I am capable & smart enough to bring my own, if I suspected a long wait. Now a handy restroom might be a whole different deal.

True story about one case in a local county voting scandal where several people were convicted and served time for buying votes. An old man sitting outside the country store that was being used as a polling place was asked if he voted for a certain candidate. He acknowledged that he had. He was then asked if he had voted for the other one and he said yes. He was then asked how he voted for both of them. He said well they come by and give me a half-pint to vote for them so I go in and vote for them. He was then asked how many times he voted and he said I don’t know, just count the bottles. Turns out that the favorite thing for buying votes around there was a half-pint of liquor. They would then go in and vote under someone’s name that the poll workers knew would not be voting in person.

When the judge asked one defendant if he had anything to say before sentencing the fellow told the judge that he honestly did not know that it was illegal to buy votes. The judge replied, I believe you because you are about the fifth defendant that has told me that.

I live in Georgia. To honor the decisions of MLB, I will forego listening or watching any sports this year. To honor our leaders in the business community I will decline to drink any soft drink bottled in Georgia and I will not fly any airline from any Georgia airport.

Two precincts with the approximate same number of voters supplied with the same number of voting machines and same number of poll workers. One has a wait time of about 30 minutes and the other a wait time of 3 hours. When the polls close the number of votes cast at the one with the 30 minute wait time shows more votes cast than the other. I don’t understand why this happens but I have seen it happen around here many times. The news media always knows where to head to get the best story about the wait times but never explains why the wait times are so different.

Scott Adams (“Dilbert” cartoonist) had an interesting question about the protests over the Georgia ID law: Have any Georgians who wanted IDs for any lawful reason ever been unable to obtain one?

The law is designed to not offer or accept bribes. You’d think that would be difficult to misinterpret, but here we are.

What I find humorous is that if you go back 30-40 years it was Republicans in Congress who were so against any form of national/state ID. And yet now they demand that everyone must have one

Same as how the Republican Party claimed for decades that the then USSR was our #1 adversary. Until Trump came along, then the GQP flipped and Russia became our new bestie, while our Allies became our adversaries. Hellllo 1984

What’s really ridiculous about the whole All-Star Game mess is that the game has been moved to Denver, yet Colorado has a similar, though much stricter, voting law on the books there.

That is your typical Liberal logic (or illogic). Not reading the bill yourself, relying on someone else to tell you THEIR opinion about it, and then get up in arms over things you know NOTHING ABOUT!!

Idiots are gonna idiot. I wonder how they would have reacted to the implementation of Delaware’s voting laws in Georgia. Or even Colorado’s.
