So June “comes clean” about her arrangement with Johnson, and suddenly the cesspool smears on her face re-appear. I guess yesterday’s makeup doesn’t last very long, or maybe those birds hit their target after all. Charles now has terrible indigestion problems along with his irritable bowel condition, looks like he’s getting ready to upchuck in panel #3! Where’s the Pepto-Bismol AND Imodium when he really needs it?
Suddenly, Charles Laver turn around with newfound confidence and rage, and speaks with flaming eyes and a blazing tongue, “Of course you know, Junie, you’ll have to give a signed statement now that you is going to completely forego any alimoney by your own free will. Or else you know very well that accidents happen in the jungle, don’t you Junie.”
I’m all for hanging June; no matter how much remorse she pretends to show. Reminds me of stories my retired detective friend would tell me of thieves, who when caught, would offer to return the stolen goods; thinking it would make everything fair and square.
She made one of the three classic mistakes: entering a land war in Asia, doing battle with a Sicilian where death is on the line, and underestimating Tarzan.

So, Johnson knew all about the witch doctor’s language, mannerisms, relationships even though he’d never been there before?

It’s like a cry for help from the writer, who’s looking for another job.

I think the real problem here is June’s just way too much woman for the dawdling Charles to handle. Now Tarzan, however……
