Gridley didn’t pick up on the signals she was sending.
What rotten luck. Everybody seems to be able to speak each other’s language except for Gridley and the girl.
Eventually Tarzan (You know, the guy who digs pits) will save her. He must be frustrated that in this story arc he is just a supporting character.
That’s how it is in a nice neighborhood like that. You’re just never expecting anything.

Gridley has some prime “fresh meat” making him a campfire, why schlep back to the plain?
Say whatever happen to our hero Tarzan who was taken away by giant bird for eating as breakfast.
