Laughing Kitty – Whew! I am overwhelmed by your scary accident report but so thankful it wasn’t any worse. Poor Mark must really be in pain this morning. Quick recovery please!

Reading yesterday’s posts from after I was on reminded me about another brother (I have eight). This one lives on ten or so acres in rural Jackson County WV. Since 2002, they had a feral cat they named Mama Cat that they caught, got “fixed” and would entertain her. She would come up on their deck and spend hours looking in the slider to see what was going on inside. When they ate on the deck, she would beg just like a domesticated cat. You could even sometimes pet her (rarely). A few weeks ago, she went downhill fast, stopped hunting. Wouldn’t eat food left for her, and wandered off into the woods never to be seen again. Even though they have five indoor cats, my sister-in-law mourns Mama Cat intensely.

I don’t know of any cartoonist who does things like this. Graham is one special person.I know Stephan Pastis uses names of friends and fans in his strips but the readers never know who they are and they’re not in the context of what he’s trying to convey. With Graham, we know he’s acknowledging the passing of a friend.

Good morning, happy Bunday, and happy Father’s Day to all you dads, stepdads and grandads! Laughingkitty, I am glad the accident was not worse. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, Mary, and Mark.

This is my all time favorite from Graham. Great tribute to one of our favorites, Linda. Even without that tribute, it is still a message we should all live by. Thank you, Graham, for caring.

Thank you to all for your care and concern and for your prayers. I am not suffering any more physical pain today from the accident. Emotionally, I’m still a bit messed up. And I’m still worried about Mark. I just missed a phone call from Mary, but she said she has some “sort of good news” which she did not go into. She wants me to call her back later.

It seems like every time you vacuum, there’s enough cat fur in it to make a cat. And you look closely inside the canister and see this face. OMG!!! this picture caused the internet to explode with outrage. Look closely, it’s fake! the tail doesn’t match the face. Just enjoy the picture. No cat was harmed.

This one is so special. Sympathies to you LaughingKitty and your family. Happy Father’s Day to you all and all the fathers in heaven with my Daddy. I am so saddened by the anger, bigotry, viciousness and violence in the world today. I have been watching Apocalypse about WW2 on the Smithsonian Channel and it makes me weep. This has been going on since WW2 and is continuing today and will into the future. I am afraid to look sideways at anyone for fear of what they will say or do or if they’re armed. Cut me off in traffic? No problem. Cut in line at the grocery store? No problem. Just don’t kill me because you’re bigger, stronger, louder and meaner than everybody else. I’m becoming afraid to go out of my home. Peace to you all.
