Dang! I’d like to read the cat’s confession about the litterbox/letterbox mix-up!

If the weather forecast holds out, we’re finally going to see the sun today! After 5 days of clouds and rain and chilly temperatures, we may finally see 70° today! And we get to see the SUN!. We had 4 inches of rain here this week! I’m glad it didn’t all come in one day or we’d be flooded, but rain for 5 days in a row is depressing. Come on, sunshine! We’re looking forward to seeing you again.

Besides looking forward to the sunshine, I’m looking forward to all new Ten Cats, too. But the reruns have been enjoyable too.

We had a couple hours yesterday where it wasn’t raining and it wasn’t too chilly to sit outside to read (it was 66°). So, I was outside, reading my book until my eyes started feeling droopy and I closed them for a while. While my eyes were still closed, I heard a sort of loud buzzing near my ear and I could feel something right by my ear – like a huge moth or something, I thought. I opened my eyes and saw that it was a hummingbird! That little hummer buzzed right by me! So later, when it started raining again, forcing me back in the house, I made some sugar syrup for the hummingbird feeder (no food coloring!) and after that cooled, I filled the feeder with it and I hung it out in my apple tree. I hope the hummingbirds find it.

Graham, I loved all the summer reruns; I’ll enjoy the new strips just as much, I’m sure.

I love the mock magazine covers. This is a magazine I would read. ;D

I never tire of the old strips and read a few randoms each day to get a good fix. I hope Graham had some nice vacation time before working on some new adventures for our beloved warehouse friends.

My family gathers every weekend to eat and play cards. Sometimes it’s just the few who live in town, sometimes it’s more. This weekend, my sister brought her family from Columbus OH. My brother and his wife came up from 50 miles away. Another brother brought his family from Blacksburg VA. After a meal of tacos, we were playing cards on his deck under a huge pine tree when I looked up and spotted a raccoon about 12 feet up in the tree watching us intently. When he noticed that he’d been spotted, he scurried up the tree but kept turning around to keep an eye on us.

Where can I subscribe to that magazine? It would be about the most interesting one ever.

Incredible day! I am sorry for all those who are suffering from those horrible wildfires, and I almost feel guilty. But today was our first really wonderful day in so long. It has been a long, very, very hot summer, with a prolonged drought, just miserable. We finally had some rain for a few days. And today it is in the 70’s and pleasantly sunny. I went to the zoo and walked around the park for hours. So much of the grass, which had been dry and brown, has recovered, along with the flowers. It was so glorious. I am so blessed to live near this beauty.

I’d love to read that magazine! Especially the article about the litterbox/letterbox. XD Looking forward to new Ten cats comics. (Reruns are good too, though.) On another note, saw two wrens, a sparrow, and a towhee while out walking today.
