I watched the first Medical Personnel get the first vaccines. I will be first in line when we can get them, only problem is that Queen will push me out of the way, she says she will be first in line!
I may finally get to use my Electric Snow Shovel Blower Thursday. We are threatened with up to 18" (or more?) by Thursday morning. The box has remained unopened since it arrived in 2019. I’d rather it stayed that way.
Okay, everybody, I’m baaaaaaccccckkkk!!! Sorry you all were getting worried bout me, but it’s nice knowing I have so many friends here who care about me. The Spectrum guy just left here. Yep, it seems the roofer cut or damaged the cable. I don’t have wireless internet. The cord for my internet connects on the west side of my house, then it goes up and over my kitchen roof (the one-story part of the house) and into the upstairs computer room, which is on the east side of the house. I was fine with the cable going over the roof, but it wasn’t so good that the roofers didn’t know what it was. I haven’t been out on the roof, but I think they actually roofed right over the cable wire and that’s probably how the damaged the wire. It did seem a little too much coincidence when I made a service call to Spectrum and they told me that my service went down at around noon on Thursday. Aha! That’s when they were working on that kitchen roof, putting on the metal. Anyway, I’m going to post pictures of my roof, before & after on tomorrow’s strip. I have a lot of catching up to do in the meantime, reading the past few day’s strips & comments.
Cat Herder’s Day. I better start herding my cats. Most of them don’t like strangers in the house, so they went into hiding when the Spectrum tech got here. I need to go round them up and make sure they feel safe again.
Rats do get a bum rap. (One that they admittedly have earned.) My uncle once had pet rats and they were very nice and friendly. Of course, those were domesticated rats. Wild rats are another matter. On another note, saw a sparrow and a rabbit while out walking today. (No rats, though.)
Tomorrow morning right after breakfast and coffee!…I am going to make dough for cut out Christmas cookies. Sarah and the Calixto girls are going to bake them and decorate them. And Thursday is Yesmin’s 12th birthday. I’m making a cake for her. I realize that with her diabetes diagnosis she will have to be careful with testing before and after….but she has a big family so it won’t last long.
