This sort of makes Chesney a hero, doesnât it? It was his objection to the price asked for him that started the altercation that got them all released. Heâs a naughty boy, but certainly worth more than $1.99!
Well, RATS! As I was driving to work yesterday, traffic on the highway suddenly came to a complete standstill in both directions. I was just starting to wonder what was going on when I saw it. A doe and her 2 young fawns were by the road. Mom was staying on one side of the road (to my right), but the fawns were running all over in fear and confusion. They kept weaving in and out of traffic, which luckily, had come to a stop for them. When all was clear, traffic proceeded very slowly forward. But I knew the deer were still hanging by the road, with mom and one fawn on the right side of the road and the other fawn on the left side of the road. Traffic was quite heavy at the time and I worried all the rest of the way to work about those deer, hoping they would be safe. The last thing I wanted was to see a couple dead fawns and/or doe around there on my way home from work. The good news was that I did not see any dead deer on my way home. But, then itâs dark when I drive home, so there could have been dead deer off in the ditch. I just hope not! But I had the dash cam going while the deer were running around on the road. I thought I should have some real good video of them. Nope. I checked the SD on my computer just now. I got plenty of good video of my drive, but just at that one crucial point â that 2 minute span of time, the dash cam got tilted (I didnât touch it â I swear I didnât!) so I got video of the hood of my car instead. I caught just a one or two second flash of one fawn crossing the road in front of both lanes of traffic. Not enough video to save. Drat!
$1.99-was that US or Canadian? For the trouble he causes, either way it was too much. Baby Oliver, on the other hand, is worth whatever price theyâd put on him,
Just the usual chaos and mayhem. Thank goodness the kitties escaped. On another note, saw four butterflies, a dove, a sparrow, three rabbits, five robins, a damselfly, and two swallows while out walking today.
