Self care is good, Mitty.
If you watch, cats don’t really take an “extended bath”, they take an infinite series of short five minute “baths” as they groom themselves.
I have seen a kitten play with an affectionate large dog and be covered with drying drool. It takes more than a “cat bath” to get that odor off.
