Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your

What is this, the land of the stupid people? The woman in the background seems to have forgotten how to fill a pitcher, and the women in the foreground has chosen pretty much the worst possible way to carry hers.
Phoebe lived in a dreadfully poor country. There was no indoor plumbing, and the people had to walk carefully to avoid all of the oil that was seeping up from beneath the ground.
I have it on good authority that this very painting inspired Mick Jagger and Keith Richard to pen the lyrics of their song âMotherâs Little Helperâ. It should come as no surprise that the first line of which was âWhat a drag it is getting old.â Youâve got to love the Rolling Stones!
In this âGarden of Earthly Delightsâ/ of all of the glorious sights/ the one true âmust seeâ/ is the lovely Marie/ whose eyes are at different heights.
âSheesh. Hey, mister bigshot artist, would it kill you to draw a wheelbarrow or hand truck so we donât have to lug all these things by hand one at a time?â
A serious method actress, Yvette prepares for her role as the first female Quasimodo with a heavy pitcher of water carried only on her right side for weeks before the first rehearsals. (It was then that she learned that she shouldâve carried it on the left side. DOH!)
It was a hard life carrying jugs of gold ore back to the foundry to be made into bricks for building houses. There was so much gold. If only they could find another use for it.
(best viewed by Google Chrome, with Google Translate added to chrome://extensions, which can automatically translate most pages as necessary) has info and links that point to more info about this roughly jumbo envelope size painting.
all have info, or links that point to more info, about this artist (again, Chrome can translate as necessary, and askart.com can be read in full for free on Fridays), perhaps in addition to whatâs pointed to by the title URL. So far, 2 works by him have been used here.Â

Though you long in their beauty to revel/ and God knows, you try like the devil/ their dismaying disparity/ merely causes hilarity./ You canât meet her eyes on the level.
âSheez. My spoiled sister gets to be in a Monet painting sitting on a park bench. What do I get? Carrying a heavy jug for another French painter nobodyâs heard of.â

Come listen to my story about a chic name Yhan Ched,
A poor Chinese wasnât makin any bread.
Then one day while she was hauling home some water,
She realized she wanted a son and decided to drown her daughter.
