Hey, Diana! Lover boy is here!

There are a lot of weird little details in this painting if you enlarge it.

“Actaeon, it’s curtains for you..”

“Behold! What is this I see before me?”

So, Diana must be the one feeding her towel to the lizard on the head of the gal right behind her, who is trying to steal the chair out from under the goddess. Everyday Greek life?

Whoa – that deodorant is just not working!

Actaeon, a huntsman by trade/

Quite inadvertently strayed/

To a locus secluded/

Where Diana, denuded/

With her “bevy of beauties” played..///

Being seen in an unclothed state/

The goddess grew swiftly irate:/

Inadvertent or not/

Didn’t mean diddly-squat/

And to exit for was too late..///

Yet he almost escaped Scot-free:/

“I’m a sports reporter” said he/

“I’ve the League’s permission/

(And that of Titian)/

In your locker room, post-game, to be.” ///

But Diana – who naked still basked,/

His subterfuge swiftly unmasked:/

With divine acumen/

She skewered the human:/

“Where’s your tape recorder?” She asked.///

He might still have had a chance/

But he then took a second glance/

And he quickly concluded/

That this goddess, denuded,/

Was not fit for yoga pants..///

The myth makers fail to relate/

That Actaeon dictated his fate/

With a classical blunder/

(It does make one wonder)/

When he mentioned the goddess’s weight!///

“Ah-hah, I was right! This is why you all take so long in the bathroom!”

Careful. One of the ladies has a concealed weapons permit, and she MIGHT have it on her!

It doesn’t matter what the sign on the restroom door says.

Nothin could be stiffer than a harem carpet sniffer in the mor-or-ning!

Actaeon craved some hot action / but misjudged her reaction/ Diana’s quick mind / turned him into a hind /an animal attraction.
