The artist ran out of color before he got to the parrot.

“My pet African Grey.”

But it talks, and its language is blue.

Polly want a cracker?

It was lost on the painter that his model was flipping him the bird.

Look, kid. I’m a 45 year old grey parrot, and I can speak three languages, while you’re 14, and your mommy had to promise you a portrait if you didn’t flunk 7th grade for the third time, so don’t you go getting uppity with me and calling me a birdbrain!

I came prepared for this little crapper I wore white.

Why the long face?

A parrot sought some place to land/

And observed a petite human hand/

On a young human female/

So he shot her an email./

Her response: “Come on down – it sounds grand!”///

Said the bird (in an avian shriek)/

“I can’t stay for more than a week !”/

The maiden replied/

“How long you abide/

Is not my concern, bubble beak !”///

It’s not certain how long he stayed/

( Not for too very long, I’m afraid)

But he met her demand/

That a bird in the hand/

Is a moment that must be portrayed !

Pull my finger.

“Parent,” “parrot”—what’s the difference?

Polly wants a cracker….now!

Some birds like to gather in flocks,

Some birds like to sleep in their socks/

But a bird who unlocks/

The cure for the pox/

Must be known the “parrot-dox”…

With that smirk on her face, she’s thinking, “We’re having squab for dinner tonight (or the closest thing to it.) That’s the last time it tattles on me.”

The bird was originally on a different finger, but then that would have been two birds.

That gold necklace looks might enticing.

Looks like the painter used one person for the body and another for the head. The perspective is bizarre!
